New Illegal Israeli Settlement Planned for Palestinian East Jerusalem

All Israeli settlements are illegal, flagrantly violating international law. The world community does nothing to stop them, conspiring with Israel, ignoring fundamental Palestinian rights.

A new Israeli settlement is planned for illegally occupied East Jerusalem. Building permits are set to be issued for scores of settler housing units, around 1,800 in total planned, numbers to increase at Israel's discretion, the way current settlements expand on stolen Palestinian land.

Establishing a new settlement in the heart of Jabal al-Mukabbir, a Palestinian neighborhood, adjacent to illegal Nof Zion settlement, assures continued evictions and displacement of its residents for exclusive Jewish development and use.

Israel feels emboldened to accelerate settlement construction given the Ziofascist administration in Washington, dismissive of Palestinian rights.

Peace Now issued a statement saying "(i)t appears that the government has opened all the floodgates when it comes to settlement developments within Palestinian neighborhoods." 

"This is not a matter of real estate but a matter of politics and sovereignty, as the Israelis moving to homes inside Palestinian neighborhoods are motivated solely by ideology, and are trying to prevent a future compromise in Jerusalem" - along with assuring no possibility of a viable Palestinian state.

On Sunday, Jerusalem's planning and building committee will meet to discuss approving permits for 176 housing units in Palestinian Jabal al-Mukabbir's neighborhood.

Building permits were requested by foreign owned Shmini Properties. Australian billionaire, Skype co-founder, Zionist zealot Kevin Bermeister is involved. He funded several settlement projects in East Jerusalem earlier.

Netanyahu and Trump will meet later in September on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly annual meeting in New York. Illegal settlement construction won't be discussed.

Netanyahu believes he's free to accelerate construction. Washington imposed no constraints.

Endless occupation harshness and settlement expansions are the main obstacles to ending decades of Israeli/Palestinian conflict. 

Prospects for peace are nil like always - especially with Islamophobic ruling fascists in Washington and Tel Aviv.

A Final Comment

On Friday, Sara Netanyahu, the prime minister's wife, was told she'll be indicted for lawlessly using over $100,000 of public funds for personal use - her likely indictment discussed in a previous article.

Charges announced Friday named former Netanyahu deputy director general Ezra Saidoff as co-defendant in the case, according to the Jerusalem district prosecutor's office.

A statement by Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit's office said the following:

"The decision was made after the attorney general examined the case material and after he heard the positions of the relevant sources, including the recommendations of the state prosecution and the Jerusalem district prosecution to consider pressing charges."

They include "fraud under serious circumstances and breach of trust."

PM Netanyahu has been investigated for over a year for alleged bribery, fraud, and breach of trust - discussed in an earlier article, indictment possibly coming, crime in his household a family affair, besides his high crimes of war and against humanity.
