Summer In Santa Fe Internship Program

May 17 – June 2

 

            Help us get Adam Kokesh into Congress!

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:


With only a few weeks left until the primary, we are gearing up and getting ready for our get out the vote efforts to mobilize our supporters and get Adam Kokesh elected.  To do so, we are inviting all of our volunteers to travel to Santa Fe for the last 2 weeks in May until the primary election on June 1st.

This "Summer in Santa Fe" will be a fun and exciting experience for all who want to see Adam Kokesh on Capitol Hill!

D’Ann Bishop is putting together this program and is working hard to make sure it is a smashing success.  If you are interested in this program, please send her an email at dbishop76@gmail.com and she can answer any questions you may have.  

Here are some details:

As long as you can make it to our headquarters in Santa Fe, we will give you training, materials, food, and lodging for the most important and final 2 weeks of the campaign primaries. 
Please make travel arrangements to be in Santa Fe no later than May 17, and no earlier than May 15 if you are coming for the entire duration of the program.
The first day of your stay will be spent training in Santa Fe, after which you will be deployed to one of the 6 major areas in our large district:

 ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN:

 

Participation Requirements:

 

Applicants will work with trained staff members on all aspects of the campaign, including: fundraising, strategic canvassing and targeted GOTV efforts;Applicants should be prepared to work long hours- eight to ten hours a day in the field, on the phone doing or at events doing voter outreach;Applicants must be willing to participate in two training conference calls prior to arrival in Santa Fe; Travel arrangements should be made to arrive in Santa Fe no earlier than the 15th or 16th of May, and departing no later than the 2nd or 3rd of June. 

PREFERRED Qualifications:

 

Flexibility about location within the district for all or part of the fellowship Preferred access to a car, but it is easy to accommodate airport pick up.  For those booking flights, you will be flying into Alburquerque, NM (ABQ). Political, grassroots, or organizing experience Preference will be given to those from communities in the 3rd district of New Mexico
What You Will Get:

The opportunity to work on a Congressional Campaign;Letters of reference;Several hours of training with professional campaign staff on all aspects of campaigning, including: volunteer management, goal setting, fundraising and strategic execution.

Process and Deadline for Application

Applications will be accepted through April 30th.  The campaign will contact applicants within one week of receiving applications.
